The past week's been tough. I strained my lower back on Monday and it hurts so bad I can't sit on chairs that are not Herman Miller. This is coupled with other pains..
And work's been streaming in.
But, today, Shao helped turn things around (: He greeted me with a huge box of my favourite chocolates- Ferrero Rocher!! And surprised me with a Remedial Massage at Holland V's Qi Massage!
Although I was in immense pain most of the 60 min, my back feels much better - at least the muscle ache is soothed. The strain is still present.
Happy (: Thank you!

What To Do In An (Minor) Car Accident?
Monday 19 August 2013
We hit the gym earlier at 630 pm today.
It's a much better time when I'm still filled with energy!
Headed to the Uniqlo Vivocity Sale after!!
Spent $87.40 on my Standard Chartered credit card which had $80 rebate preloaded! WOOT
Anyway, in light of recent events, I thought I'll do a post on What To Do In A Minor Car Accident? (Truffs is jumping all over me as I type this -too cute)
1. Agree with the other driver to drive to a
safer location.
If both of you are unhurt, move the dispute away from what could potentially be another disaster. Drive to the side of the road, or even a nearby open carpark.
2. Exchange information.
This point is obvious. Driver's license, contact details, insurance contacts. You get the drift.
3. Camwhore
Finally, your Instagram practice can come to real use!! Snap away at his car and yours to document the damages. Even take a sneaky shot of his face! I joke.
4. If you're at fault.. Negotiate to settle.
Use all your charm to persuade the other party to settle outside of insurance laws (don't wait till later!) This will save you the inflation of insurance premiums. Also, ask that he brings his car down to your workshop to check out.
If he agrees to settle but insists on his own workshop, get a quote from your own trusty workshop to compare against his. (use the pictures taken in step 3) Alot of workshops jack up their prices and gives the extra to the driver!!
If he agrees to settle but insists on the manufacturer's workshop... ouch?
Just be glad he didn't take it to the insurance guys.
Just be sure to confirm if he's taking you to the insurers or not, because all accidents have to be filed within 24 hours.
Note, all accidents are suppose to be reported to insurers...
5. Be safe.
Yes, you are distraught that it happened. And can also be a bit dazed. Or cursing away.
But I can't stress this enough...
Don't stand where it is dangerous!!!!
Even if your car is parked by the side of the road, don't stand on the driver's side, don't stand in front of your car, don't stand behind your car!!
Recently, this heart-breaking story took place here in Singapore.. So, thank your lucky stars no one got hurt and be safe.

Review: Nox - Dine in the Dark
Sunday 18 August 2013
Hello. I am on Santa's Naughty List.
Yes, that is all I can muster after ditching this blog for too long.
Let's cut to the chase and to this awesome weekend. (:
The highlight of the weekend is our visit to the newly opened restaurant down at Beach Road, Nox.
I LOVE IT, I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
I don't usually rave this much about a restaurant (with the exception of Shinji & Ritz's Sunday Champagne Brunch - my two ultimate favourites!) but I've told everybody I've met over the course of this weekend, and will continue to do so..
Nox is a dine in the dark concept and you are served by blind waiters i.e. you have a full 3-course meal in absolute darkness.
Initially, I was very reluctant to go, and tried to back out on a couple of occasions. But, Shao planned this for us, so I decided to suck it up and go! He was laughing at me, cos I refused to wear my usual towering heels and any accessories - what if I lose them in the dark? Haha, so I went for a 'rocker chick' kinda style - see the end of my entry.
By the end of the night, I was sold on Nox. All I can say is, please go. It is worth it.
Props to Shao for always bringing me on such fantastic food journeys. I have enjoyed so much good food being with him - such a good perk. LOL.
Here's a few grainy iPhone pics of the night (no pictures of food.... obviously...)
The amuse bouche served while we still had our sight - Prawn with feta and balsamic I think - a fantastic preview to what was in store. A burst of flavours.
Our two cocktails - Ignite My Passion and A Touch of Rose. I love the Ignite My Passion!
Shots of us bursting at the seams after - we both dressed very differently than we normally would that night. It was fun. heh.
The rest of the weekend was a new experience for us as a couple as well..
I wouldn't divulge anymore but my fingers are crossed!!
